A Nebraska Manufacturing Month Champion City is a community that takes an active role in celebrating and promoting manufacturing throughout October. Champion Cities bring manufacturers, schools, community organizations, workforce partners, and local leaders together to showcase the importance of manufacturing and the opportunities it creates.
Champion Cities host and promote activities such as plant tours, open houses, student and family events, workforce development programs, community celebrations, and other events that connect people with local manufacturers. By coordinating activities throughout the month, Champion Cities help increase awareness of manufacturing careers, strengthen connections between manufacturers and their communities, and celebrate the people and companies driving Nebraska’s economy.
